This is a great cookie recipe as it holds its shape when you bake the cookies, keeping all the detail of your cookie cutters. The honey also makes them taste delicious.
150g soft light brown sugar
300g plain flour
1 sachet (1 tsp) Dr.Oetker Baking Powder
1 medium egg, beaten

Dr. Oetker Liquid Food Colours
Dr. Oetker Silver Balls, Mini Jazzies, Sugar Strands & Chocolate Stars
1. Melt the honey, butter and sugar gently until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool slightly.
2. Sift the flour into a bowl, add the beaten egg and the melted mixture to form a soft dough. Roll it out and cut out shapes with cutters.
3. Bake the biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet for 10 – 12 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
4. Decorate your cookies with fairy cake icing and top with icing and decorations.
Cooks tip: Why not try making spiced gingerbread cookies add 1 level tsp ground ginger and 1 level tsp mixed spice to the mix with the flour. For a more adult biscuit use soft dark brown sugar and add ½ tsp of finely ground black pepper with the flour.
