For the recipe French Toast
|4 slice||Thick White Bread|
|100 ml||Whole Milk|
|10 ml||Dr. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Extract (2 tsp)|
|about 15 ml||Vegetable Oil (1 tbsp)|
|about 50 g||Fresh Mixed Berries|
|about 50 g||Dr. Oetker Milk Chocolate Jumbo Chips|
|about 5 g||Icing Sugar (1 tsp)|
|about 15 ml||Maple Syrup (1 tbsp)|
Whisk together the eggs, milk and Vanilla Extract in a bowl.
Place 2 slices of bread in a shallow dish, pour half of the egg mixture over the top, leave the bread to soak for about a minute and then turn over to soak on the other side.
Whilst the bread is soaking place the oil in a non-stick frying pan and heat over a medium heat, until the oil is bubbling. Place the soaked bread into the hot frying pan, be careful as the oil can splatter. Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes until the bread is golden. Whilst the bread is cooking, soak the remaining bread as above.
Place the cooked bread onto a baking tray and place in a warm oven and cook the remaining slices of bread.
Place a couple of slices of bread onto a plate. Place the berries and Chocolate Chips on top of the bread, dust with icing sugar and drizzle with maple syrup. Your French toast is ready to serve!
For a more indulgent brunch treat add a dollop of Greek yogurt or whipped cream onto your French toast!
For an extra chocolatey finish, drizzle with the remaining Chocolate Chips!
