Keeping your pancakes warm: If you are making lots of pancakes or you want to keep them warm for longer, transfer them in layers to a heatproof dish or baking tray, cover with foil and place them in the oven on a very low heat setting.

Sweeter Mixes: This batter can be used for sweet and savoury pancake fillings, but if you prefer a sweeter mix, add 10ml (2 tsp) icing sugar to the flour before mixing

Flavouring you pancakes: Flavour the pancake batter by mixing in 10ml (2 tsp) Dr. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Extract or Sicilian Lemon Extract. You may also like to try pancakes flavoured with Dr. Oetker Moroccan Almond Extract or Dr. Oetker Caramel Flavour – just stir in 5ml (1 tsp) to the batter.

Add colour: You can also colour the basic pancake batter mixture using Dr. Oetker Food Colour Gels

Chocolate Batter: For a chocolate batter, replace 15ml (1 tbsp) flour with 15ml (1 tbsp) Dr. Oetker Fine Dark Cocoa Powder
