Decorating Homemade Easter Eggs

For perfect results when decorating your egg, decorate each half of your Easter egg with chocolate before you join together.
 

• Slowly melt Dr. Oetker Fine Cooks's White Chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water
• Leave Chocolate until cool,  but still a little runny, then spoon the Chocolate into a piping bag
• Pipe the Chocolate in zig zag lines across the Chocolate egg
• Once the White Chocolate has completely set, repeat the process with Dr. Oetker Fine Cooks' Milk Chocolate, piping between the White Chocolate lines
• Leave to set in a cool place, then put in the fridge for 5 minutes
• Once the Chocolate has set, join the egg together using melted Chocolate

Don't forget to wrap your eggs in cellophane wrap, tie with a ribbon and add a label before giving them to your family and friends. You can also place in an Easter basket and offer to your guests.

To add a pretty lustre to your Easter Egg, use Dr. Oetker Shimmer Spray in gold or silver.

Simply stand your egg in a glass or cup, and shake Shimmer Spray can well until you can hear the ball bearing.

Hold Shimmer Spray 20cm away from your Easter Egg and spray lightly and evenly. Gradually build up layers to create a stronger colour, allowing each layer to dry between coatings.
