Ready to Roll Black Fondant Icing

Our Dr. Oetker Ready to Roll Black Soft Fondant Icing is ideal for using to cover biscuits and bakes all year round - providing a smooth, sheet covering which can then be decorated with piping icing or writing pens.  This soft and pliable fondant icing has a light vanilla taste and can be used as a cake topper, or mould into models and designs for a more personal touch. Perfect for creating little characters while baking with kids. Create mermaid and under the sea inspired bakes!

Ready to eat:


  1. Coloured fondant is suitable for modelling and covering whole cakes or cupcakes.
  2. If applying directly to a cake or cupcake, use smooth apricot jam or a small amount of buttercream to secure the fondant to the cake. To apply to a cake covered with marzipan or white icing slightly moisten the surface with cooled boiled water and secure the coloured fondant.
  3. To achieve an extra smooth surface and remove any excess icing sugar, polish with the flat of your hand.
  4. For modelling, knead the coloured fondant until soft and pliable, then shape as required. If the fondant becomes sticky as you shape it, lightly dust your fingertips with icing sugar.

tore in a cool, dry place. Once opened, wrap any unused icing in polythene or foil to prevent it drying out. DO NOT REFRIGERATE.
