These indulgent hot chocolate stirrers are the perfect recipe for a comforting mug of rich hot chocolate, perfect as a gift or for cosy nights in.

Dr. Oetker American Peppermint Extract (1/2tsp)

First up, lightly grease an ice-cube tray with a little oil. Break up the chocolate and pop into a large bowl and melt in the microwave in 20 second bursts stirring between each burst. Stir the Peppermint Extract into your melted chocolate.

Pour the melted chocolate into your ice-cube trays to fill and then lightly tap the ice-cube tray on the surface to remove any air bubbles.

Place a few marshmallows in the top of your chocolate cubes and sprinkle over some festive sprinkles. Pop into the fridge to set for about 20-30minutes until your chocolate has started to set and place a wooden stick into each chocolate cube. Leave to set completely for about 1hour.

Once set, gently remove your chocolate stirrers from the ice-cube tray. These are perfect wrapped up for a home-made Christmas gift!

Tips

Your chocolate stirrers will keep for up to 4 weeks stored in an airtight container, if it is warm we recommend storing in the fridge.
