Baking Fruitcake

How to avoid burning fruitcake.

Burnt fruitcake? If you find that your fruit cake browns too much when baking, try covering the top with baking parchment, with a small hole (the size of a 10p piece) cut into the middle. This will prevent the top of the cake from burning. The hole will allow steam to escape from the cake as it bakes.
